Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame spring sports were in full swing this afternoon as both tennis and lacrosse faced Colonial States Athletic Conference opponents and softball hosted non-conference opponent Morrisville State College.  Both tennis and softball got the chilly Saturday started in Baltimore as tennis hosted Cedar Crest College at 1:00 p.m. and softball hosted the Mustangs of Morgan State University at 1:00 p.m.  Lacrosse was on the road, Saturday, traveling to Gwynedd Mercy University at 3:00 p.m.

TENNIS
Notre Dame continued their home schedule on Saturday, hosting the Falcons of Cedar Crest College.  The Gators dropped their conference match, 9-0.

 No. 2 doubles for the Gators, senior Catherine Bruzdzinski and Ceida Portillo, came close to posting a Notre Dame match win, but fell, 8-6.  In No. 3 singles, senior Ashley Guy dropped the first set 6-0, but rallied back in the second challenging to extra games, but eventually fell, 7-6.  No. 5 singles, Nnenne Odukwu also challenged her opponent, keeping the match close, but also fell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

This was the Gators' fifth conference match since opening their season back on March 9^th.  No other school in the CSAC has faced five conference opponents so far this season.  Immaculata University is the closest with three.  They lead the conference, 3-0.

Notre Dame will get a break from CSAC play as they travel to local rival, Goucher College on Tuesday.

SOFTBALL
The Gators hosted the Mustangs of Morrisville State College, Saturday afternoon at Morgan State University.  In a doubleheader originally scheduled to be played at Druid Hill Park, the Gators struggled to get their bats going, falling in both, 10-1 and 13-1.

Sophomore Isa Carunungan and junior Samantha Kastner led the team at the plate, as both recorded two hits, posting a .333 batting average.  Carunungan scored both of the Gators' runs in the game, while Kastner and sophomore Naudiya Hopkins posted an RBI a piece.  In the field, sophomore Hanna Morseman and Carunungan both tallied four assisted put outs.  Morseman and junior Madison King, pitching for Notre Dame, combined four seven strike outs. 

Notre Dame will have close to a week off of play after having two doubleheaders in three days.  On Friday, the Gators host Immaculata University at Coppin State University.

LACROSSE
On Saturday afternoon, Notre Dame lacrosse traveled to Gwynedd Mercy University for their first conference game of the season.  Last season, the Gators defeated the Griffins at the end of the year to help clinch a playoffs spot.  Notre Dame got off to a slow start defensively, giving up six goals before scoring their first of the game.  The Gators could not recover from the deficit and fell, 26-15.

Junior Megan Morales posted 10 of the team's 15 goals.  She shot 71% for the game and added one assist.  Junior Kirstin McGee finished the game with three goals and two assists.  Seniors Khamaree Owens and Kaitlyn Walter added one goal apiece, while Walter also posted an assist.  As a team, Notre Dame had 18 draw controls, picked up by Morales (8), McGee (6), and Walter (4).  In goal for the Gators, freshman Marie Salas tallied 18 saves, her highest save performance of her career.

Notre Dame gets a week off from play before traveling to Centenary University next Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. start time.  The Gators have completed their non-conference play and will face only CSAC schools for the remainder of the season.
