Box Score HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -The Notre Dame Gators traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Centenary University Saturday afternoon. The Gators opened hot and never slowed down for 21-0 victory. This was the team's first shut out since they blanked Rosemont 17-0 in 2010. This is also tied the largest margin of victory for the Gators all time.
Notre Dame scored ten goals in the first eight minutes of the game leading to a 17 goal first half. They then added four in the final 30 minutes. Junior Megan Morales tallied six goals and now leads the team with 37 on the campaign. Senior Kaitlyn Walter kept pace with Morales scoring six of her own. Five other Gators scored including junior Kristin McGee, and senior Brady Wolf with three a piece.
Morales also lead the team in draw controls with 9 out of their 19 team total.
On defense, senior Peace Ani tallied a team leading six turnovers and freshman Michaela Seay lead the team with four ground balls. The Gators were excellent on clears this afternoon going 14-15 and a perfect 8-8 in the second half. In goal for Notre Dame, freshman Marie Salas earned the win with five saves.
Notre Dame will enjoy a long Spring Break off and won't play again until Wednesday April, 4 when they host Immaculata University at 4:15 p.m.
