Box Score 2 DUNDALK, Md. – Notre Dame softball hosted Immaculata University Thursday afternoon in their first Colonial States Athletic Conference doubleheader of the season. The Gators struggled at the plate in both games as they fell in back-to-back games to the Mighty Macs, 13-0 and 16-0.
At the plate, freshman
Maya Lazaro led the Gators over two games, hitting for .333 average. Lazaro's first career hit came in the end of game one against the Mighty Macs as she hit a leadoff double down the right field line in the bottom of the fifth inning. Junior
Samantha Kastner, sophomore
Hanna Morseman, and freshman
Lucy Polvinale also added a hit each in the doubleheader.
On the defensive end, Kastner led the team with five putouts and five assists at short stop. Splitting time pitching and at first base for the Gators, King recorded six putouts and three assists.
Notre Dame continues CSAC play tomorrow as they travel to Centenary University. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
