Box Score 2 RADNOR, Pa. – Notre Dame softball traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent, Cabrini University Friday afternoon. Facing current No. 2 in the conference, the Gators were held scoreless over the doubleheader, falling to the Cavaliers, 19-0 and 13-0.
From the plate, junior
Samantha Kastner kept her hit streak alive, posting a hit in each game against the Cavs. Out of the team's 20 games so far this season, she's posted a hit in 17. Over the doubleheader, Kastner went .500 from the plate with one double. She now has five doubles this season. She continues to lead the team in hitting percentage at .453, which is good for 10
th in the conference.
Sophomore
Hanna Morseman, and freshman
Samantha Miguez Tolliver and
Mya Knox-St.Paul each posted a hit for the Gators. Morseman sits just behind Kastner in hits this season with 18.
In the field, Kastner and sophomore
Isa Carunungan combined for 11 assisted putouts, while freshman Lucy Polvinale had 12 putouts at the plate.
The Gators will wrap up their home schedule Saturday and Monday. Tomorrow, Notre Dame hosts CSAC opponent, Keystone College at 1:00 p.m. and Monday will host Gwynedd Mercy University at 3:00 p.m.
