BALTIMORE, Md. – The Gators are looking forward to a strong season this spring, after a nearly record breaking season in 2019. They finished the season with 10 wins, a record that has only happened one other time over the course of the 10-year program history.
Notre Dame opens their 2020 season on March 14
th with a home double-header against John Jay College. The Gators will be playing all of their home games at CCBC Dundalk this season. The CSAC conference play will begin on March 27
th at Cedar Crest College.
The Gators return with core members of the 2019 team including: senior
Isa Carunungan (Second Team All-CSAC), and Junior
Jodie Bronushas (Second Team All-CSAC).
Carunungan
finished the 2019 season with a .459 batting average, and a .515 on base percentage, as well as a slugging percentage of .612 which was good for sixth in the CSAC. She is now entering her senior season just four hits shy of the 100 mark.
Bronushas finished with a .493 batting average which was good for second in the CSAC. She also finished third in on base percentage and slugging percentage. In the circle pitching, she racked up 105 strikeouts, which was also good for second in the CSAC.
This fall, the Gators had their first ever fall play-day, facing CCBC Dundalk in a double-header. The Gators had an exciting showing in both games.
