Women's Lacrosse Announces 2023 Schedule

BALTIMORE- Coming off an appearance in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) championship game, the Notre Dame of Maryland women's lacrosse team has announced their spring 2023 schedule. The 15-game slate features 10 home contests and six games against CSAC competition. 
 
The Gators open the season by hosing Maritime College (March 2) at Alumni Field. This will be NDMU's first ever matchup with the Privateers. Maritime went 12-3 last season reaching the Skyline Conference Semifinals. 
 
NDMU then hosts Bryn Mawr College (March 4). The Gators are 2-3 all-time against the Owls, falling in last seasons matchup. NDMU next welcomes Thiel College (March 8) in the programs' first ever match.
 
The Gators hit the road for the first time, traveling north to Lancaster, to take on future conference foe Lancaster Bible College (March 11). NDMU is 3-1 all-time against LBC. 

After returning home, the Gators host Goucher College (March 15) and New England College (March 17). The game against the Pilgrims will take place the US Lacrosse National Team Facility in Glencoe, MD. NDMU will then take on regional power Marymount University (March 21). 
 
The team will finish up nonconference play taking on a pair of schools from our nations capital when they host Trinity (D.C.) University (March 25) and travel to the University of the District of Columbia (March 28). 
 
NDMU opens conference play by traveling to defending CSAC Champion Bryn Athyn (April 6). This will be a rematch of last years conference championship game where the the Lions edged the Gators. 
 
The team will return home for three straight games against conference opponents, including games against Keystone College (April 12), Sweet Briar College (April 15) and Cedar Crest College (April 22). Last season the Gators went 3-0 against those opponents, winning by a combined score of 58-18. 
 
The Gators conclude their regular season with road trips to Cairn University (April 26) and Wilson College (April 29). NDMU defeated the Phoenix in the CSAC semifinals last season. 
 
NDMU went 8-6 last season, going 5-1 in conference play. The Gators will be led this season by defending CSAC Coach of the Year Kari-lei Berry. On the field the Gators will be first team all-conference player Jade Stewart and second team all-conference members Sarah Generoso and Averee Radonovich
