LATHAM, N.Y.- The United East released its weekly awards on Monday, Oct. 9, with Notre Dame of Maryland University's Paulina Hernandez and Tassilo Lehmkuhl being honored.   

Hernandez collected her fourth player of the week honor after a pair of excellent performances this past week. In the teams win over Penn St. Mont Alto, she posted 21 digs and then she followed that up by recording 24 digs in the team's win over Carin University. Hernandez is second in the United East in digs per set averaging 5.55 and first in the conference in digs with 322. Nationally, Hernandez ranks in the top 25 in all of NCAA Division III in both digs and digs per set.  

Lehmkuhl found his groove this past week, powering NDMU to their first two conference wins in program history. Trailing Wilson 1-0, Lehmkuhl scored twice in the first half to rally NDMU to the 2-1 victory. He then shined again in NDMU's win over Clarks Summit University. After recording an assist on NDMU's first goal, Lehmkuhl struck in the ninth minute, scoring a spectacular goal from outside the 18-yard box. He would close out the victory, converting his first career PK. Lehmkuhl finished the week with four goals and one assist. He currently ranks eighth in the United East in goals and his three game-winning goals are the most by any player in the conference.  
 
Men's soccer will be back in action when they host Cairn University on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM. Women's Volleyball will also be in action on Wednesday when they host Bryn Athyn College. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
