Box Score Phoenixville- The Notre Dame of Maryland Men's Soccer Team picked up a victory, powering past University of Valley Forge with a score 2-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The Gators took command early, opening the scoring in the 10th minute when Peer Ewerbeck found the net off a precise assist from Tassilo Lehmkuhl. Just seven minutes later, Athanasios Ziliaskopoulos doubled the lead, keeping the pressure on Valley Forge. NDMU's persistent offensive plays resulted in 11 first-half shots, showcasing their dominance in this game.
The second half mirrored the first, with six more shots to keep Valley Forge under defensive pressure. All the while the NDMU defense held strong, allowing only two shots on goal—both saved by goalkeeper Mateo Gularte. This solid defensive and offensive performance secured a convincing 2-0 victory.
