BALTIMORE, MD - The Notre Dame of Maryland men's soccer team has released their 2025 season schedule as they prepare to enter the third year of the program.
Head coach
Frank Olszewski returns for his third season at the helm of the program with a 9-19-2 career record at NDM. The 2024 season saw the Gators finish with a 4-11 overall record, but a 3-5 conference record had them in ninth in the United East including a 2-1 first round playoff loss to Penn State Brandywine.
The Gators return their top two leading goalscorers from the 2024 squad as
Athanasios Ziliaskopoulos and
Tassilo Lehmkuhl bring a combined 18 goals and seven assists from last year. The defensive line will see veterans
Myles Tanksley,
Carter Hafez, and
Jefferson Da Silva return to lead the line while a trio of experienced goalkeepers remain including senior
Mateo Gularte whi started 10 games for the Gators in 2025. Midfielder
Johannes Karlsen brings the most experience to the midfield as a junior with 27 caps to his name already.
"Going into year three, we are cautiously optimistic about the prospects," said coach Olszewski. "It feels great to say that we finally have some veteran players in the program. Our schedule has increased in difficulty and the players are looking forward to that challenge. The project has always been about the long and not short term.
The journey continues as the foundation solidifies. This is how the leadership within the group has developed. Their commitment in achieving the national and conference academic award speaks volumes about their character. They have been great to be around and enjoy each others company. The locker room smells like potential."
The Gators will kick off their season on August 31 for a road trip to nearby Goucher College. The home opener will take place on September 4 as Washington Adventist will visit the Gators for a Thursday matinee. After three straight home non-conference games against Immaculata, Stockton, and Albright, the Gators will head to Penn State-Abington for the conference opener on September 27. That starts a string of eight straight conference matchups with Lancaster Bible coming to Baltimore on October 1, followed by St. Mary's College visiting on October 7 and Cairn on October 11. The Gators close out their regular season hosting Penn State-Brandywine on October 25.
