Baltimore, MD – College of Notre Dame of Maryland Swimming came up short on the road against Goucher. The Gators fell to the Gophers 110-73.

College of Notre Dame brought home first place points in five different events Wednesday evening. The Gators also set three season best times and two personal best times during the meet. Leading the way for Notre Dame was sophomore Shannon Berry who set a personal best and season best time in the 100 yard butterfly, touching the wall in 1:09.43. Berry also secured a first place finish with a time of 28.61 in the 50 yard freestyle.

The Gators’ Melanie Moscoso-Meiller raced to a first place result in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:03.67. College of Notre Dame finished one, two in the 100 yard breaststroke. Sophomore Faith Jones finished in 1:21.61 while Moscoso-Meiller touched the wall next with a time of 1:29.07. Jones also set a personal best in the 200 yard individual medley, 2:33.07.

Tomi Sadler and Amber Lovejoy each recorded their best times this season. Sadler cut her 50 yard freestyle time by .34 seconds down to a 39.14. Lovejoy finished the 500 yard freestyle in 6:54.87, which is 2.8 seconds faster than her previous time.

College of Notre Dame’s 200 yard freestyle relay of Fleming, Lovejoy, Tannous, Sadler touched the wall in 2:18.55.
