Notre Dame Competes In The Final Splash

Baltimore, Md. -- The Notre Dame of Maryland University swim team competed in The Final Splash, the last home meet for the Notre Dame swim program.  Prior to the meet, an alumnae and parents brunch was served to honor the swim program and those that competed in the previous seasons.  Alumnae from seasons as far back as 1964 were in attendance at this event. To start the meet, Head Coach Curt Jordan unveiled a banner in LeClerc Pool that displayed every student-athlete's name that swam for Notre Dame's since 1939.  Images of the event will be posted once they are made available.

At the conclusion of the meet, Athletic Director Erin Foley honored Head Coach Curt Jordan for his 27 years of dedication to the Notre Dame swim team and community by inducting him into the Notre Dame Athletics Hall of Fame.  To date, Jordan has recorded a 167-121 overall record since 1989.
