Rosemont uses big first half to get past basketball

The Notre Dame of Maryland University basketball team fell 73-34 to Rosemont College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play Wednesday evening in Alumnae Hall. The Ravens improve to 7-8 overall, while the Gators are now 0-14.

Rosemont used a 42-16 first half to set the tone of the game, and were paced by 19 points from Elizabeth Coyne and 16 points from Ashley Montecchio en route to upping their conference mark to 3-6.

Sophomore Sasha Vassel (Palm Beach, Fla./William T. Dwyer) had a team-high 12 points for Notre Dame, while senior Dee Waters (Aberdeen) added 10 points. Both Imani Stokes (Fr., Baltimore/Polytechnic Institute) and India Scott (Gr., Baltimore/Polytechnic Institute)   finished with 11 rebounds.

Notre Dame returns home to host Centenary College on Saturday, January 21 for a 3:00 tip off.
