Notre Dame Hosts Christendom At Home

Baltimore, MD -- The Gators of  Notre Dame of Maryland University hosted the Crusaders of Christendom College for the first home game of the season. 

Leading the Gators in points was freshman Erika Deppenschmidt (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Schoolf for Girls) with a career-high 17 points. Sophomore Kamelya Medina (Albuquerque, N.M./West Mesa) was one rebound away from her third double-double of the season. She acquired 15 total points in tonights game and 9 rebounds. With 11 rebounds, junior Shaun De' Jones (Baltimore, Md./Polytechnic Institute) led the gators, giving another strong defensive performance.

Despite a solid defensive effort, the gators gave up 35 turnovers to the Crusaders, allowing them to produce more offensively and control the tempo of the game. The final score of the game was Christendom-55, Notre Dame -43

The Gators play again Tuesday evening, at 6pm against Trinity Wahington University.
