Notre Dame Suffers Conference Loss

Box Score Aston, Pa. -- Notre Dame basketball traveled to Neumann University Wednesday for a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup.  In the game, Notre Dame had two players post double digits in points, with one reaching a team individual season high.  The Knights jumped out to an early led, but the Gators kept the game within 10 through the second half, trading baskets with Neumann.  In the last minutes of the game, a late rally by Neumann would put the game out of reach as Notre Dame would fall, 65-49.

The Gators were paced by freshman Allyson Whitacre (Jarrettsville, Md. /North Harford) who notched a team individual season high 28 points, shooting a season high 6-6 from the free throw line with five rebounds.  Freshman Zaria Comer (Leesburg, Va. /Tuscarora) recorded her seventh career double-double, posting 10 points with a team game high 14 rebounds while freshman Stephanie Roche (Baltimore, Md. /Perry Hall) went 2-5 from beyond the arc with nine points, three rebounds, and two steals.  As a team, the Gators shot 75% from the free throw line for the third time this season.

Notre Dame returns home Saturday, as they host CSAC rival Keystone College for their second matchup of the season.  Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
