RESULTS

Baltimore, Md. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University claimed a 66-53 victory over Hollins University on Senior Day Saturday.  Seniors Jessi Duffy (Bel Air, Md. /C. Milton Wright) and Morgan Wheaton (Cape May, N.J. /Cape May Tech) were honored during the meet.  

In the win, four Gators claimed two first place finishes, with one relay victory. Senior Duffy claimed first place finishes in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.97 and the 100 freestyle in 1:00.28 while senior Wheaton placed second with 1:07.40.

Junior Emily Jordan (Bel Air, Md. /C. Milton Wright) captured two first place finishes, claiming the 200 butterfly in 2:25.81 and the 200 backstroke in 2:35.03.  Sophomore Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.) recorded a first place finish in the 200 freestyle in 2:21.19 and 40 freestyle in 0:24.00 while freshman Andreana Turner (Great Mills. Md.) claimed first place finishes in the 100 breast in 1:22.13 and 200 breast in 3:08.06.

In the 160 yard medley relay team of Duffy, Turner, Jordan, and Tawny Cevora (Norfolk, Va. / Lake Taylor), Notre Dame finished first in 1:42.13.  

The Gators now look forward to Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships scheduled for February 13-15 in Greensboro, N.C.
