First Set Win Not Enough For Gators

Box Score Baltimore, Md.  --  Notre Dame of Maryland University would win the first set 25-21, but would be unable to hold off Keystone College as the Giants would defeat the Gators 3-1 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match.  

Leading the Gators would be sophomore Ashley Pasker (Newark, N.J./University) who finished with 18 kills.  Sophomore Jamie Reyes (Yorba Linda, Calif.) would add 30 assists and a team-best three aces. Junior Cassidy Keller (Sparks, Md./Perry Hall) would add two aces and seven kills.    

Defensively, junior Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) would pace the squad with 22 digs while sophomore Grace Park (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) chipped in with 18.  Reyes would also contribute 10 digs to her effort.  Sophomore Brooke Bowman (Garden City, Mich.) finished the match with three solo blocks, and Pasker would also add a solo block.  Reyes aided the net defense with three assisted blocks with sophomore Bobbi McDowell (Shady Side, Md./Bishop McNamara) posting two assisted blocks.  

Notre Dame captured the first set 25-21, but would then fall to Keystone 25-23, 25-20 and 25-13.  The Gators now sit at 7-7 on the season, 2-2 in league play and will return to action as they visit Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday night.
