Box Score New Rochelle, N.Y. -- The Notre Dame of Maryland basketball team opened their 2015-16 season with a 60-50 win over Bryn Mawr College in the Women's College Tip-Off Tournament.

Notre Dame saw four Gators with double figures in scoring led by sophomore Zaria Comer (Leesburg, Va. / Tuscarora) who recorded her first double double of the season, scoring 14 and reeling in 12 rebounds.  Sophomore Ashley Guy (Leonardtown, Md.) and freshmen Justine Mundiay (Baltimore, Md. / Cristo Rey Jesuit) and Justice Walrath (Severna Park, Md.) added 10 points each in the effort while sophomore Jennifer Whiting (Perry Hall, Md.) scored nine, with one three pointer and going four for four from the line.  As a team, the Gators had 15 assists on the night, led by junior Naimani Staley (Silver Spring, Md. / Blair) with five.  On the defensive end of the court, Notre Dame reeled in 35 rebounds and had seven total steals led by Staley with three.  

The Gators will play in the championship game of the Women's College Tip-Off Tournament tomorrow, Sunday November 14 against College of New Rochelle.  Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
