Swimming Falls At Gallaudet

MEET RESULTS
Washington, D.C. --  The Notre Dame of Maryland University swim team returned to action Thursday evening by taking on local rival Gallaudet University.  

Senior Emily Jordan (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) paced the team with three individual race victories.  Jordan captured the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.78, the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:40.61, and the 200 yard individual medley, posting a first place time of 2:27.42.  

Junior Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.) claim first place in the 200 yard freestyle, 2:28.35, and the 500 yard freestyle, 6:38.17.  

The Gators opened the meet by winning the 200 yard medley relay in a time of 2:29.57.  The winning relay consisted of Pedersen, junior Julianna Randazzo (Glen Burnie, Md.), Jordan, and freshman Summer Stevens (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista).

The swim team will return to action next Saturday, January 30, by travelling to Hollins University to take on Hollins and Guilford College in a double dual.  The squad will then conclude their home season by hosting Bridgewater College on Sunday, January 31.  The meet on January 31 will also serve as Senior Day for Jordan, as well as a chance to honor the storied history of the swimming program.  


Notre Dame of Maryland University would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the storied history of the swimming program.  Following the team's final home meet on January 31, we will be hosting a celebration to honor head coach Curt Jordan, and the accomplishments of the swim program.
