A steal by Mudiay and layup on the opposite end would open scoring, as Notre Dame would take their first lead of the game.  With just under six minutes left in the first quarter, a three pointer by Cedar Crest would put the Falcons up by one.  On the opposite end of the court Cochran would tie up the game at three apiece, as she would make one of two from the free throw line.  With 3:15 left in the first quarter, a steal by Mudiay would lead to an easy layup by Guy, the Gators regaining the lead, 5-3.

In the first quarter, the Gators would go on a 7-0 run, but with 1:55 remaining in the first quarter the Falcons would cut the lead to two off a three pointer from Cedar Crest, 9-7.  To close out the first quarter, Notre Dame would hold a five point lead, 13-8.  To open up the second quarter, Notre Dame would go on a 10-0 run before Cedar Crest posted their first points.  The Gators would hold the Falcons to only six second quarter points, going into halftime ahead 11 ponits, 25-14.

Throughout the third quarter, Notre Dame would continue the pressure.  With a minute and a half remaining in the third quarter, a layup by Justice Walrath (Severna Park, Md.) would see the Gators largest lead of the afternoon at 23 points, 48-25.  A fourth quarter rally by Cedar Crest would cut the Notre Dame lead, but the Gators would hold strong, claiming a 63-47 victory.
