Rosemont, Pa. – The Notre Dame of Maryland basketball team travels to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Rosemont College, for their second matchup of the season. In their second game of the New Year, the Gators downed Rosemont, 79-61 and posted their highest recorded points of the season.
The Gators are coming off a home loss against the number one seed, Marywood, Saturday. Junior
Zaria Comer is currently averaging 15.4 points and 8.0 rebounds a game. On Saturday, she had a team-high 15 points, going 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. Sophomore
Justine Mudiay is also averaging double-digits in scoring with 10.3 per game and has 16 three-pointers for the season. Running the offense, junior
Dania Taylor leads the team with 68 assists and is also averaging 9.8 points a game. Notre Dame is currently 6-11 overall and 3-7 in conference play.
The Ravens currently have two player averaging double-figures in scoring led by Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter with 17.0. A deep threat for Rosemont, Naone-Carter has 30 three-pointers this season while also leading on the boards with 8.4 a game. A threat on both ends of the court, Shirle Brown is averaging 14.7 points per game and 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals. The Ravens have two other players averaging nine points or more while Ayanna Thompson feeds the offense with 3.7 assists a game.
