Notre Dame Falls In Music City

Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Notre Dame basketball concluded their Music City Classic games today as they fell to Washington and Jefferson University, 77-29.  Costly turnovers by the Gators and several second chance points for the Presidents kept Notre Dame out of the game despite getting on the board first to start the game.

Junior Justine Mudiay led the team in scoring, posting 14 points and going 6-for-8 from the free throw line.  This is the second time that Mudiay has led the team in scoring and her second best scoring performance this season.  Seniors Zaria Comer and Naimani Staley added five points each, while Comer led the team in rebounds with eight.  The Gators had another strong game on the boards with nearly every player posting at least one rebound.  The team finished with 42 for their sixth-consecutive game with 40 or more.  They are currently averaging 43.2 per game so far this season.

To open the New Year, Notre Dame will continue their Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule with three-consecutive home games.  First, the Gators will welcome Cairn University on Wednesday, January 3 then face Cedar Crest College on Saturday, January 6.
