Box Score GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Notre Dame basketball traveled to Gwynedd Mercy University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon. In a well fought game by Notre Dame, the Gators kept the game close most of the game. After being down by 16, a late rally in the fourth quarter saw the Gators go on a 12-5 run. Time expired before Notre Dame could get any closer, falling to the Griffins, 65-58.
Junior
Justine Mudiay led the game with 19 points. She went an impressive, 3-for-4 from the three-point line and made several crucial points in the game. Coming off the bench, freshman
Keyeria Dawson finished with nine points, going 4-for-7 from the floor for her career best shooting percentage, 57.1%.
Five players posted six points in the loss:
Dania Taylor,
Justice Walrath,
Ashley Guy,
Naimani Staley, and
Adrianna Fletcher. Taylor led the team in rebounds, posting a career-high 12 rebounds all of which came on the defensive end. Taylor and Walrath combined for 11 of the team's 14 assists.
Both teams traded three-point attempts, totaling 52 for the game. The Gators finished 11-for-20 from the three-point line, their highest three-point percentage and most made this season. Notre Dame had six players with at least one three-pointer.
The Gators return home on Wednesday as they host Clarks Summit University at 7:00 p.m.
