Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame of Maryland basketball was back in action Thursday night after their originally scheduled game against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent, Clarks Summit University was postponed due to inclement weather. The Gators and Defenders battled early in the game seeing the scored at 19 in the first quarter, but Notre Dame prevailed securing their second conference win, 79-46.
In the team largest win margin of the season, the Gators had four players post double-figure in scoring, led by senior
Zaria Comer with 23. Comer tied her season-high posting 23 points, going a perfect 11-for-11 from the floor. She also led the team in rebounds, finishing with 11 while posting a season-high five blocks in the game.
Freshman
Adrianna Fletcher tied her career-high made three-pointers, finishing the game with 12 points, all from beyond the arc. She was 4-for-6 from the three, and is currently second on the team with made three-pointers this season with 14.
Seniors
Ashley Guy and
Dania Taylor also had notable performances in the Gator victory, with each tallying 10 points. Taylor paced the team in assists with a season-high six total, while the team had a season-high 24.
The Gators went 32-for-63 from the floor, the team's highest shooting percentage so far this season at 50.8%. Notre Dame's 32 field goals were just one basket shy of their season high and 79 points is their third best this season.
The Gators are finding their rhythm with the last half of their season to go. Next, the team will host Immaculata University at home on Saturday in a rematch from their first conference game of the season.
