ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference released Monday afternoon that two more honors were given to the NDMU basketball team. After winning three games last week and an outstanding performance at each, it was no surprise that Freshman Brim and Sophomore Fitchett acquired two additional honors.
The Defensive Player of the Week honor goes to Fitchett for the third time this 2019/20 basketball season. For the fifth week in a row and the eighth time total Fitchett has been acknowledged by the CSAC. In the last three games she posted 28 rebounds, six blocks, and six steals. Four of those steals and 11 rebounds were in the win over Cairn this past Saturday. Fitchett stands at the #1 spot for rebounds tallying 11.7 rebounds per game. She records 245 for the season and is a solid 25 rebounds ahead of the second leading rebounder.
Brim collects her fifth honor overall, and her third consecutive recognition by the CSAC. She completed the week with averaging 22.3 points in three games, and was 11-for-12 from the field in the win over Rosemont. Brim posted 67 points this past week and was a huge factor in the team's success in the winning week. She currently is ranked as the seventh leading scorer in the CSAC averaging 15.4 points per game.
