CSAC WEEKLY: Gators Collect Two More CSAC Honors

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Monday afternoon, it was announced by the Colonial States Athletic Conference that the Gators have earned two more honors for the 2019/20 basketball season.
 
Sophomore Daija Fitchett is recognized by the CSAC for the seventh time this season. She is honored for the fourth week in a row for her outstanding rebounding average. In the win against Wilson she posted a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds. Then in the game against Clarks Summit, she tallied an impressive 20 points and 13 rebounds earning her second double-double for the week. Fitchett now is averaging 12.1 rebounds per game totaling 217 for the entire season with 32 of them from the past week.
 
After being named the CSAC Player of the week last week, Freshman Ayana Brim earns her fourth CSAC recognition this week for her incredible performance in the win against Wilson. This past week, Brim posted 50 total points earning 23 in the game against Wilson and a career high of 27 against Clarks Summit. She also earned a double-double against the Defenders earning 10 total rebounds. Brim is currently sitting at eighth overall in the conference for points averaging 14.3 per game and tallying 257 for the 2019/20 season.
 
WEEK AHEAD

To start the month of February, the Gators enter a game heaving week playing Monday night against Christendom College at 7:30 p.m. They will then travel to Rosemont College on Wednesday night to play a CSAC game at 7:00 p.m. To finish the week, they will host against Cairn University and on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
