BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University cross country team had three runners place at last Saturday's Lon-Short meet at Dickinson College. Freshman
Laura Longeway was the first Gator to reach the finish line at (23:29) on the 4k course. Longeway placed 144th and fellow teammates
Holly Hand (23: 57) and
Christy Canjura (25:16) would crack the top 150 to end the day. The Gators went on to finish the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational 19th.
Led by Coach Caslin himself, Notre Dame (Md.) will compete next at Coach Caslin Classic on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 11:45 a.m.
Hand, who broke the Notre Dame (Md.) all-time 5K record at the Johns Hopkins Kickoff Invitational in the season-opening race, will join forces and look to make a splash a few miles down the road at Goucher College with Longeway who posted a top 20 finish on the CSAC preview 6k course.
