BALTIMORE – Daija Fitchett was awarded CSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and teammate Chantel Curry was named to the CSAC Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday. 
 
Fitchett currently leads the conference in blocks with 2.2 per game while also standing amongst the league leaders with 12.2 rebounds per game. She is 19 blocks away from the 100 blocks milestone. After earning last week's Defensive Player of the Week honors, Fitchett returned to the floor against Saint Elizabeth and had a 25 points 12 rebounds performance in 24 minutes against the Eagles. On the defensive end, the senior had two blocks to go with 10 points and 15 rebounds against Keystone.
 
Earning her first CSAC honors as a Gator, Curry has been her team's most reliable three-point specialist. She is currently shooting 40% from behind the arc this season. Curry had 13 points shooting (3-for-7) from three in the win at Saint Elizabeth. In just 18 minutes of play against Keystone, she made a season-high five threes for 15 points in the 65-63 loss.
