BALTIMORE, MD – Freshman point-guard Alexis Durham was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week after leading the Notre Dame (Md.) basketball team to its fourth straight win against conference opponents. Daija Fitchett continues to dominate as the best defender in the conference, winning her sixth Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Over the week Fitchett did work on both ends, averaging 17.6 points, 16.3 rebounds while swatting away two blocks in each contest. Fatchett was 57 percent on 23-of-40 shooting to aid the Gators to a 3-0 week while collecting her 10th double-double of the season. Against Clarks Summit (1/18/22), she grabbed 21 rebounds, making for a new career-high and fifth on the single-game rebounds list. Fitchett is two rebounds shy of becoming the school's fifth all-time leading rebounder.

Meanwhile, at the point, Durham led the Gators averaging 19.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 6.3 rebounds in the three wins. She tied the school single-game three-point record going 7-of-14 from deep range against Keystone (1/20/22). The freshman had her second-best scoring outing with 27 points on 10-for-20 shooting. Durham went for a career-best nine assists against the Giants. The freshman guard is leading the team with 14.1 points and nearly five assists per game this season.
