BALTIMORE, MD - Notre Dame of Maryland standout freshman midfielder
Alex Busick has been named to the United East Conference Third Team All-Conference, capping off a remarkable first campaign in which she emerged as one of the league's most dynamic attacking threats.
Busick was the heartbeat of the Gators' offense all season, leading the team in goals (10), assists (4), points (24), shots (60), and shots on goal (37). The box-to-box midfielder was also a consistent presence on the defensive side of the field, making great tackles while also providing the ability to hit long balls that switched the field from defense to offense in a flash.
Her production was not just consistent—it was timely. With three game-winning goals, Busick repeatedly delivered in the biggest moments, helping the Gators secure key conference results down the stretch.
Whether breaking down back lines with her pace, creating space in the final third, or finishing with precision, Busick quickly became the focal point of Notre Dame's attack. Her relentless work rate and knack for generating scoring chances helped fuel the team's 28-goal season, including standout showings in wins over Penn State Schuylkill, Keystone, and Penn State Brandywine.
Her offensive numbers placed her among the conference's most productive forwards, and her 24 points accounted for more than a third of the Gators' total scoring output this season. Beyond the statistics, Busick led with energy and toughness, setting the tone for a young but competitive NDMU side.
The Third Team All-Conference selection marks the first conference honor of Busick's collegiate career and signals she's quickly becoming one of the United East's rising stars. With three seasons still ahead of her, she's poised to continue shaping the future of Notre Dame women's soccer.
