Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland volleyball team continued their win streak at home today, defeating Penn State Abington, 3-0 (25-12, 25- 9, 25- 15). The Gators jumped out to an early lead in the first game and held the momentum to secure their fourth win to open the season.
The Gators were led at the net by sophomore
Kayleigh Davis who posted seven kills, hitting for .273. Freshman
Sarah Sweet added three kills to the effort while also posting nine digs. Freshman
Michaila Sheedy posted three kills while leading the team in blocks with four assisted. On the defensive end, sophomore
Mary Marquez led the Gators with 15 digs, while also leading the team at the line with four aces. Senior setter
Jamie Reyes tallied 11 assists in the win, along with four digs and one ace. The Gators posted 17 kills, nine aces, and five blocks.
Notre Dame will next travel to Washington College for a trimatch where they will face WAC and Shenandoah University. The game times are set for a 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
