Brown, Stewart Earn United East Second Team All-Conference Honors

Baltimore, MD - Notre Dame of Maryland University women's volleyball placed two standouts on the United East All-Conference Second Team, as outside hitter Kaliyah Brown and libero Izzy Stewart were both recognized for their exceptional 2025 seasons.

Brown emerged as one of the most dynamic offensive threats in the conference, finishing the year with 244 kills, averaging 3.44 per set, the top mark on the team. Her ability to take over matches was central to the Gators' 16–7 campaign, highlighted by her aggressive swing volume, 754 total attacks—, and her presence behind the service line with 33 aces. Brown also contributed defensively, collecting 208 digs, showcasing her versatility as a six-rotation player.

Stewart anchored the Gators' defense with one of the most productive seasons by a libero in the United East. Leading NDMU with 363 digs and an impressive 4.91 digs per set, Stewart constantly stabilized serve receive and extended rallies that proved crucial in conference play. She also added 29 service aces, giving Notre Dame a reliable weapon both in the back row and at the line. Her consistency and court awareness were instrumental in the Gators ranking among the league's best in defensive efficiency.

Together, Brown and Stewart formed one of the strongest outside hitter, libero tandems in the conference, helping the Gators finish 7–3 in United East action and secure their spot among the league's playoff contenders. Their all-conference selections underscore both their individual excellence and their importance to Notre Dame's standout 2025 season.

With both players earning postseason recognition, the Gators continue to build momentum and identity as a program driven by energy, balance, and gritty defensive play—qualities that Brown and Stewart embodied all season long.
