BALTIMORE – A week removed from being named to the conference Weekly Honor Roll, Daija Fitchett was awarded CSAC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Fitchett continues her strong play early this season despite her team's slow start to the season. The senior was recognized for her 12 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks performance against Morgan State on Friday evening. 

Fitchett has now rejected nine total blocks this season and his corralled three blocks in three consecutive games. The senior sits at 79 career blocks as the 100 blocks milestone approaches. She's averaging a double-double with 12 points per game to go with 11.3 boards while shooting 48% from the court on (14-29) shooting.
