LEXINGTON, KY. – The Notre Dame of Maryland 2020 Volleyball team earned the 2021 United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
NDMU volleyball was one of 233 Division III programs to earn the team award. In order to qualify for the award, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Notre Dame volleyball finished the 2020-2021 year with a team GPA of 3.57.
The Gators had 12 student-athletes named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Fall All-Academic Team including:
Hannah Amodia,
Jodie Bronushas, Miasia Ferrer, Samantha Gamble, Paulina Hernandez, Amelia King,
Cara McLaughlin, Natalie Newton, Erin Shaw,
Michaila Sheedy,
Gabbi Taganas, and Victoria Wong. In order to earn CSAC All-Academic, the student-athletes must have achieved a GPA of 3.20 or higher during the Fall 2020 semester.
