Baseball commences play with a 12-9 loss to Stevenson

Box Score ABERDEEN, Md – The Notre Dame of Maryland baseball team made its program debut on Saturday, falling to Stevenson University 12-9 at the Ripken Complex.

The Gators made history in their first game. In addition to play its first game as a varsity program, freshman Hunter Beil hit the program's first home run in the program's first at-bat in the bottom of the first.

Beil finished with two hits, two runs score, while Tyler Holton, Zane Cook, Kevin Goedeke and Logan Ward also got two hits.

Tyler Sampson started the game, going three innings striking out three.
