Cichocki named third-team All-United East in baseball

LATHAM, N.Y. – Notre Dame of Maryland University's Chase Cichocki became the first player in program history to earn All-United East Baseball All-Conference honors on Wednesday as he was named third-team middle infield.

The team was unfurled on Wednesday by the conference office. The squad is made up of players who were nominated by their coaches, who were then not permitted to vote for them.

Cichocki batted .331 this season in 38 games, with a team-best 52 hits. Ten of those were for extra bases, including six doubles. He drove in 23 runs while scoring 42 runs on his own. He also stole a team-best 23 bases on 26 attempts. His stolen bases were eighth-best in the conference this season.

Notre Dame finished 13-27 overall and 7-9 in the United East, qualifying for the United East playoff in only their second year as a program.
