Hall of Fame
Amanda Poppleton was a 2003 graduate from College of Notre Dame of Maryland and was inducted into the Notre Dame Hall of Fame in 2008.
A basketball standout, Poppleton still currently holds several Notre Dame school records. She holds the top spot in career points, 1,438, career made free throws, 356, assists, 584, and steals, 573. Her 573 steals is more than double second place on the list.
She can also found three times in the most points in a season list, and is also found in the free throws made in a season list thee times as well. For assists, she can be found four times, including the top two spots, dishing out a school record 226 assists in 2002-03. In addition, she also holds the top four spots for steals in a season, posting the best mark in history with 169 steals in 2002-03.
In single games, she holds seven of the top ten marks for steals, including posting five of the six times a player has recorded double-figure steals in a game, her best being 13 steals in one game.
Her efforts saw her earn back-to-back Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference Most Outstanding Player awards. Her 573 steals both placed her first in all of Division III women's basketball for three years after graduation as well.
