Tinah Houck will join her sister, Toyah Houck ’94, in the Hall of Fame. By all accounts, Houck is a gifted student-athlete. Known for her leadership ability, speed, and the ability to score no matter what the sport, she couldn’t help but stand out on the field.

By the time Houck graduated, she had rewritten the field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse record books. She led the field hockey and lacrosse teams in scoring and held eight school records, all of which stood until this season when four were broken.

Highlights of Houck’s extraordinary career include Atlantic Women's College Conference (AWCC) Most Outstanding Player in all three sports, team MVP in all three sports, All Conference selections in all three sports, and Second Team Regional All-American in two sports. She was named Outstanding Underclass Athlete, was recognized by the Collegiate Directors of Athletics for Outstanding Academic Achievement and was featured in the July 1997 issue of Sports Illustrated.

Following her graduation, Houck received her Master’s degree in counseling from Western Maryland College, where she was an assistant coach for two years. She current works at the University of Maryland University College as an academic advisor.
