Hall of Fame
Kathleen Endy Toth ’84 was inducted into the 14th Hall of Fame Class in 2004. A two-sport student-athlete at Notre Dame, Endy left a lasting mark on the College with her competitiveness and accomplishments.
Endy transferred to Notre Dame after one year at Towson State University and would leave an indelible mark on the basketball program. She was a three-year letterwinner in both tennis and basketball, but her most notable accomplishments came on the hardwood. She played guard for the Gators from 1981-1984 and during her career she scored over 1,200 points, which put her in the top-six in career points scored at the College.
Her senior campaign was one of the most prolific in the Notre Dame’s history. Endy helped the Gators to a 16-12 record and a Chesapeake Women’s Athletic Conference championship and was named to the CWAC All-Tournament Team. She was also an All-State Honorable Mention by The Baltimore Sun in her senior season.
Endy averaged over 23 points per game that year, and was ranked 23rd in the country in that category. She set the Notre Dame single-season record for points in a game, which stands today. She scored 52 points, without the benefit of the 3-point line, in Notre Dame’s 82-79 loss at Catholic.
For her efforts, Endy was also the 1983-84 recipient of the Sister Bernice Feilinger Award, given yearly to the Most Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete. Endy graduated from Notre Dame with Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications.
Endy has been a high school basketball coach and has stayed involved in the area’s sports community. She developed a basketball league for women over the age of 35 that has ten teams and 100 players and plays at Loyola High School.
Kathleen Endy Toth, who lives in the area with her husband, Jay, and two sons, Christian and Robert, was also inducted into the Glenelg High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
