Katie Gwiazdowski-Ballor ’06 was inducted into the 21st Hall of Fame Class in 2011, the first year she was eligible to be inducted.
 
A two-sport student-athlete at Notre Dame, Gwiazdowski holds multiple tennis records, including most career singles wins (31) and most doubles wins (22) with current Tennis Coach Meryl Krich ’08. She also holds the single-season records for most singles wins (14 in 2006), most doubles wins as an individual (14 in 2006), and most doubles wins as part of a team (14 with Meryl Krich ’08 in 2006).

Gwiazdowski was the tennis team’s captain in 2005 and 2006 and also the team’s Most Valuable Player those years. She was an Atlantic Women’s Colleges Conference (AWCC) Honorable Mention in 2004 and a First Team All-Conference selection in 2005 and 2006.
 
Also a four year member of the volleyball team, Gwiazdowski holds multiple career records on the volleyball court, including first for aces (354) and digs (1,735), second in points (1,528) and third in kills (1,129). She also ranks among single-season record holders as second in digs (555 in 2005), third in aces (136 in 2002), and fourth in kills (394 in 2004).
 
Gwiazdowski was the volleyball team’s captain in 2005 and a two-time team Most Valuable Player, AWCC Most Outstanding Player, and CoSIDA Academic All District II Second Team in 2004 and 2005. She earned an AWCC Honorable Mention in 2002 and was Second Team All-AWCC in 2003.
